Ruby’s Cake Smash

I had the great fortune of taking these photos on Ruby Ann’s official first birthday! I was thrilled to be a part of such precious memories in the making. Ruby had the thrilling experience of CAKE for the very first time. Lots and lots of it! It couldn’t get much cuter than a beautiful little girl in pink ruffles smashing her cake and getting covered in frosting from head to toe. I can’t help but smile from ear to ear when I look at these photos. When is it my turn to smash a cake like that!? These kids get to have all the fun.

I’m so glad we got a chance to take some family portraits as well. It was a blast to peek into this family’s life as they adored each other in front of the camera. Smiles and kisses were had by all in the thick of the beautiful trees. I can never get enough of how beautiful the world is through the eyes of a child. Every moment is spent discovering and drinking in the joy of simply experiencing the world. Spending time with each child reminds me what life is all about.
