I believe in magic, I really do. It doesn't only exist in fantasy and childhood dreams; it is conceived in every single moment, even the ones we normally consider “ordinary.” It is my belief that there is no such thing as mundane. Every single breath is precious.

The vision behind my photography is to capture the magic and adventure in those moments, not only with an artistic eye, but with the intention of documenting everything just as it was and as it was experienced. Sometimes the everyday subtleties get lost in our memories, and it's my passion to not the little details be forgotten. Photography can be used as a powerful tool to encompass presence. I started my business in 2012 and have photographed the magic of nearly 100 weddings. I am based in Lexington Kentucky, and I also enjoy traveling nation-wide. My heart is tethered to several places: Minnesota, (where I was born and raised), Virginia, (where I started my business), and now my home in Kentucky, where I fall in love every day with the rolling hills, the sacred forests, and the way that all of us who come here find in each other long lost friends.

A more bit about me: I am first and foremost a mother, a fierce friend, and a lover of anything that bears the fingerprints of life. I'm an all-around artist, a nature enthusiast, and book worm. I love to hike, support our local organic farms, shop at our favorite local businesses. I also work at the University of Kentucky as a farmer in Sustainable Agriculture. I love getting my hands in the dirt, in paint, in clay; all ways of me deeply bonding with that which is around me. Connection, between other people and the earth, are more palpable to me than the skin we live in.

I feel immensely lucky to have found this home in the middle of so much colorful culture and I'm excited to continue fulfilling my passion of witnessing your magic behind my lens.
