Cat and Josh’s wedding began on day with sun kisses and warmth. Cat, smiling from the inside out and breathtakingly exquisite. Josh, steady and eyes bright with absolute certainty. They saw each other for the first time on a curvy road at Ash Lawn-Highland, dappled with light and lined with winding trees. The photos speak for themselves when you see the energy in their joy.
It amazes me in this moment, even after it’s been several years after photographing my first wedding, how monumental a day like this is. How big of a ripple it causes not just within families and future families, but within all the earth. Our love literally changes the world. In countless ways we never see, touching people we’ve never met. Some day Josh and Cat will be recounting their story many years from now, when their wedding is twenty five years in the past, smiling about the memories. Chatting and laughing about how that ripple was been set into motion. One that will go on forever, one that exponentially creates other ripples into this vast world that needs love.
Blush pink, ashy sages and reds were like strokes of a vintage painting throughout the wedding details. Textures from draping eucalyptus and succulents as take home gifts were the perfect ethereal touch. Cat’s dress, flowing and fine, the definition of elegance. Josh, handsome and dapper in his perfectly tailored suit. DIY paper flowers that Cat made herself were intermixed with the real flowers, disguised so seamlessly you wouldn’t know they were paper until you were told.
Connection was everywhere. Friends and family holding up Cat and Josh with their love and support. Dancing broke out in celebration, from the youngest to the oldest in the room.
A big shout out to the amazing vendors I worked with!
